About

Hello and thank you for stopping by! I’d like to start off by saying that I initially wanted to create a blog about my transition into green beauty along with my favorite products but in the couple of years since I’ve entered the green beauty space, I’ve gotten overwhelmed by how over-saturated its become with endless products and brands. While I realize that Instagram has become a virtual marketing tool with brands using influencers to drive sales, I couldn’t help but also recognize the lack of authenticity in general on various social media platforms. I mean, here we are as women, being invited into other peoples’ illusion of authenticity every single day whether it’s via Instagram, Facebook or other platforms, that we are actually beginning to FEAR truth, honesty, self-awareness, living within our means, doing whats best for ourselves as individuals and we are slowly but surely distancing ourselves from REAL life. It saddens me that as an adult and the fact that we've just entered into 2018, there is still competition, pettiness, bullying, self-doubt, anxiety, the desire to fit in, lack of inclusion and so forth, that continues to exist as a direct result of social media. I was reluctant at first to start this blog because the idea of putting my life out there was something I never imagined doing, but that all changed a couple of years ago when a complete stranger responded to one of my Instagram posts. I thought to myself wow, someone I’ve never met is going through the same thing I went through and wants to hear my story! Her name is Laura and although we haven’t met, we have been pen pals ever since. The instant connection with Laura soon made me realize that women all over the world have gone through and continue to go through exactly the same situations and experiences, some of which are never spoken about openly for whatever reason, almost as if we are scared of facing the reality of them. Why is this? Why are we so scared? Why do we let fear control the conversations we have? I hope to bridge that gap and create a platform that welcomes thought-provoking conversations about life, beauty, wellness and so much more.

XO,
Nary
